EDM Models -"Rolling Road"
Rolling Roads are sold as a standard unit in each scale with extra rollers and length available as options.
Base Unit
The basic unit consists of a pair of parallel aluminium rails of a stated length locked in to engineering plastic spacers. Two lengths are significant. The overall length and the maximum operational length. Each base unit is fitted with an initial number of roller units and comes with two sets of electrical connectors
Extra Rollers
Extra rollers can be ordered for each gauge. These are best ordered at the same time as the base unit to be fitted by the manufacturer.
At a push they can be fitted later but it is difficult and we can accept no responsibility for problems encountered.
Extra Length
The rails can be extended a the time of manufacture only. Extra length is ordered by the centimetre.

Unfortunately it has not been possible to develop HOn3 and smaller rolling roads in the deluxe range due to difficulties with using the roller bearings in smaller sizes.

When
used with models of a smaller size it is possible that an 0-6-0 for example
might have to be supported on only the outer wheel sets as the roller units
can't be got close enough together. The adjacent drawing shows the unit size for
the 0n3 and smaller units.
