Production Note - Loco's

These kits are resin cast bodies with cast metal, etched and turned detail parts. Port Wynnstay manufacture the body kits and buy in the chassis kit from Mercian Models from their model of the later version of the England Engines. Using the already available chassis kit made these kits possible but it does result in a slightly different method of supply as detailed here: -

• The kits are produced in batches of five, or so, at a time

• They are produced to order, so when we have enough ordered the batch is made. [actually when we have orders for 3 we usually produce 5 and find the balance has sold by the time we have all the bits together]

• When you order you will be charged a non refundable £50 deposit. [this has two effects, firstly it commits you to the model and, secondly, it finances buying in the chassis kits]

• You will be charged the balance when your kit is ready to ship.

• Depending at what stage in a batch cycle you order your kit may take 8 -12 weeks to arrive

The kit is complete except for paint, adhesive, couplings and nameplates.

Production Note - Tender Only Kits

The tender only kits are produced entirely in house and are delivered to our normal 28 days delivery commitment.

Production Note - The Chassis Kit

The kit is complete with etched chassis parts [supplied by Mercian Models], motor wheels and gears. As of Jan07 there is a, hopefully, temporary problem with the wheels. Normally Romford/Markits wheels are supplied but these are currently unavaialble. Markits say it will be 2-3 months before the wheel tooling is repaired/replaced and until then we can't supply their wheels. As an alternative we can supply Alan Gibson wheels. Please let us know your preference.
