Randsburg Barbershop |

The Randsburg Barbershop is based on an actual structure
in Randsburg, CA near Mojave. It is still in existence
today and appears much as it did when it was built.
Typical of many buildings in the American West in the
late 1800's and early 1900's,
it would be at home on any "steam era" layout as well as
the present day. |

This kit consists of richly detailed textures of wood,
metal, tarpaper, stone, etc. printed on two thicknesses
of paper which are layered to create a very
three-dimensional look. The walls appear to be built of
individual "boards" and the metal roofing appears to
have all the corrugations. Not until it is touched do
people believe it is printed. As a final detail, the
windows can be positioned opened or closed. |

Pictured above is the HO scale version. It has a 1 1/2"
x 3 3/4" footprint. (An S scale version will be produced

The
Randsburg Falsefront Stores are based on actual
structures in Randsburg, CA. They still exist today in
their original location next to the Barbershop. They
make an interesting set of falsefront western buildings,
especially when placed in a row with the Barbershop. |

The O Scale Randsburg Assay Office and Mercantile have
been offered as two separate kits, unlike the HO kit,
which has the two buildings adjoined. This allows for
more variety in their placement. If you like, the two
kits can be joined as in the HO kit.
