Hints & Tips on the care and feeding of your MMI Models Locomotives.
Introduction
It would be easy to read these pages and get the view that the MMI models are less than brilliant. Let me say here and now that is not my intention but as with all models there are things modellers can do with their engines when they don't have to worry about the cost of production.

It is true to say that each model produced so far have had some teething problems as the unique production collaboration has evolved but the good news is that the issues can be dealt with if you want to and each model as released has improved the breed.

If you have any final doubt think on this. Prior to MMI you were paying in excess of $2000 for a K class engine that still didn't necessarily run that well and often still needed painting. In 15 years on 0n3 modelling my loco fleet had grown to four loco's prior to MMI and now the roster has exploded.

The Pages
The following pages are offered as my own ideas on how to fix and modify the engines. I welcome other peoples suggestions and tips. If you have something you wish to share just e-mail the details to me and I'll add them to these pages. Finally I would just say that I have been writing these whilst doing engines for myself and for customers and preparing the web page isn't necessarily the top priority so they usually lag behind what I have done.
