Seasons Greetings

I've been meaning to get this newsletter done for sometime and for various reasons it just hasn't happened and now I've had to change the title from November to December. Why the delay? Simply, and very briefly, I ended up in hospital via casualty with severe pains in my leg similar to the DVT I suffered more than 12 years ago. This was both scary and painful. Since then I've been taking that many pills that I rattle and have been either avoiding walking or limping around with a stick to help. The good news is that things are now improving and stuff is getting done again.

This newsletter includes news of some bargains to be had as well as info on new in stock and coming models. I hope it doesn't get lost in the general bombardment of inboxes that seems to go on at this time of year.

Christmas Opening

We will be closed over the weekend prior to Christmas, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. At other times we will be around but like everyone else doing Christmassy things with family and friends. Do feel free to contact us but understand if you don't get an instant response if we happen to be watching the Great Escape for the hundredth time.

Want to get in to DCC with a top of the range set for a bargain prices?

I have a Lenz set 100 consisting of the LH100 push button handset and the LZV100 control station with an LA152 panel mount thrown in available. Its been used once as a demo and no longer has its box. Normal price is £232 + £13.95 and these are offered at about 2/3rds of this.

Since last year there has been a change of publisher but the editor remains the same. These are due out soon and we'll have them as soon as they are available
Apparently there has been a problem with the printer and these are only just being printed in the week before Christmas. We'll have them as soon as they're done and will get them out to people as soon as they arrive

Early Warning

EDM Models will not be at Narrow Gauge North this year. I know a good number of you used to come along to see us at this show but sadly not enough of you to make it viable to attend.

Any Other Business

I think I'll shut up at this stage in the interest of actually getting this published this side of Christmas. We do have lots of new items on their way into the country with new buildings from Banta, Raggs and Downtown Deco. The Bachmann 4-4-0 will be in stock in the next few days [must get them added to the website!].
There are many other things on the way and there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to bring our injection moulding capability in to service. That's proving to be a bit of a mammoth task with nothing to show initially but once its up and running it should allow a flurry of new wheels and associated items such as fly cranks and so on. There is also a plan to convert the Port Wynnstay resin windows to moulded styrene If there was one thing I would recommend to you it would be to come along to our open day in Mickleover, Derby and bring something along to play with and show the rest of us. Our Henmore Dale layout will be up and running on which you can run your 0-16.5 DC powered stock and I'll have my DCC test track there for you to play with. As usual Mr T will have his stall and resin foundry present and the 7mm NGA sales operation is coming along. We are still planning other items to add but there is plenty of room if you want to have a table to show your models or modelling skills off. Just drop us a line
