Precision Engineered Model Railroad Kits
This superb range of kits and detail parts is new to EDM Models following a chance meeting on a footplate in Wales. As with many of these ranges imported from the USA we try to keep them in stock but as we only stock a few of each item it only takes a good show to clear us out and it can then take awhile to get them again.

Pulpwood Racks for the Bachmann On30 Flatcar        LASER-CUT
Based on the cars built by the Sandy River Railroad around 1900.

Easy to assemble kit features laser-cut wood parts, brass wire, plastic nut/bolt detail, laser-cut precise assembly jigs for rack assembly and deck hole drilling, b&w and full color photos.

Parts included to do either early or later strengthened version.   

Flatcar not included.

RGS Railtruck Freight Body for the Bachmann On30 railtruck
When the US Postal Service got a look at the RGS's open railtruck, they threatened to revoke the mail contract. The mail had to be carried in a secure location. This is what the RGS came up with.

Easy to build.  Laser-cut wood with plastic details, and peel and stick roofing.  Removable, fits into stake pockets. Cab window frames included.   Railtruck not included.

Replacement Racks for the Bachmann On30 railtruck
Replace those plastic racks with a set of real wood ones.    Railtruck not included.

Easy to build kit includes laser-cut stakes, pre-cut slats, plastic details, and full size assembly templates.

SR&RL TYPE  CABOOSE BODY

 

 Based on the SR&RL RR's caboose #551.Fits on  the Bachmann On30 passenger car chassis.

Laser-cut plywood with peal and stick parts, strip wood, milled wood corners, brass wire. peal and stick roofing.    Passenger car chassis not included.

Includes jigs for handrail bending and ladder assembly. Fully illustrated instructions.

INTERIOR for the SR&RL TYPE CABOOSE

Parts shown in green are supplied in caboose kit.

 

 Based on the interior of the SR&RL's caboose # 551.

Laser-cut plywood and basswood with peal and stick window trim and interior doors. Also includes door guard planks for wall opposite cupola box.

Includes optional seat, plastic hinge detail, and new full glazing sheet for the doors. Slides right into the caboose body.

WW&F Rly. #7 CAB KIT
Later type open back cab fits on the On30 2-4-4t Forney.

Laser-cut plywood and basswood with peal and stick front plate, plastic carriage bolt head detail, plastic glazing, interior wall and side window detail. Three position roof hatch.  Easy to build.

DROVERS CABOOSE  KIT

Based on SR&RL caboose #553. 

Designed to fit on the Bachmann passenger car chassis.

Laser-cut plywood and basswood with peal and stick parts. Also includes peal and stick roofing, bass strip wood, and brass wire. 

Easy to assemble.

INTERIOR FOR THE DROVERS CABOOSE
Based on the interior of SR&RL's #553 caboose.

Same construction as our kit # 6-a. Slips into completed body.

SR&RL RR CABOOSE # 556- 558                        for On2 / On30
These 3 almost identical cars were built by the Maine Central RR in 1913.  Two of the cars survived the RR.

This is our 1st correct size caboose kit, no compromises in size here.  Measured from the original 556 in Phillips, Maine.  Complete with full interior. Details match the prototype.

These kits consist of laser-cut plywood and basswood with peal and stick parts.  Kits also contain plastic details including stove and brake cylinder/reservoir, brass handrails and ladders, scale looking draft gear.

Trucks and couplers not included.  Will require Kadee #26 couplers and On2 or On30 trucks of your choice.
