Coming soon from the same designer that brought you the EDM Models Linda, Blanche and Charles kits is a range of 7mm Scale South African narrow gauge rolling stock as used on the Welsh Highland Railway.

Having been in develpment as a hobby project for several years recent innovations have brougth the work to the fore with and release being targetted for the 7mm NGA convention at Burton on Trent in June

The parts for these kits are ordered in batches to bring all the parts together to pack complete kits.

All the parts for the first batch are on order and are either to hand or have confirmed arrival dates.

If the first batch sells well a second, and third will be ordered but the supply chain is only as good as the slowest supplier.

Castings for the bogies are the critical item and for this reason they won't be available as a seperate item until the initial demand for complete kits has been satiated

Online ordering is now avaiable for the wagons. Orders taken now won't be supplied until June at the earliest but it will help us gauge the quantities. Your card won't be charged until the kits ship but we need an idea of how many to order

South African Railways   "DZ" Wagon

This kit provides the parts to make a DZ wagon.

Options of angled or flat end, with Tee and U shaped stanchions included.

The kit is mainly etched nickel silver with detail castings and is available with either diamond frame or Betterndorf bogies

Bachmann 00 Passenger Coach wheels are supplied with the bogies. These provide smooth running wheels of the right diameter for new wheels. They are a tight press fit and can be regauged for 14mm gauge

Extras Pack -  Resin Doors

The standard kit contains all the parts to make the doors in etched metal and castings making it a very detsailed kit. However, we reckon that if you want to build a rake of them you'll end up needing therapy. We sent a set to Phil at Port Wynnstay for a swim in moulding rubber and offer them as an extra.

I reckon you'll want to build one in metal for the satisfaction but put resin ones on the rest of your fleet!  The only thing is the resin ones are very thin making them a bit fragile

South African Railways   "B" Wagon

This kit provides the parts to make a B wagon.

The kit is mainly etched nickel silver with detail castings and is available with either diamond frame or Betterndorf bogies

South African Railways   Flat Wagon

This kit provides the parts to make a flat wagon and it also forms the basis of the underframe in the DZ and B Wagon kits.

The kit is mainly etched nickel silver with detail castings and is available with either diamond frame or Betterndorf bogies

Diamond Frame Bogies

The cast diamond frame bogie pins together to allow a small amount of compensation to give excellent track holding.

Included wheels can be assembled for 14mm or 16.5mm gauge track

Not shown in the picture but etched brake parts are included

Cast Bettendorf Bogies

The cast Bettendorf bogie pins together to allow a small amount of compensation to give excellent track holding.
