| Thank you for your interest in our new kit for the Penrhyn and
Festiniog Railway Hunslet Locomotives. These models will be released at the Porthmadog Model Railway Exhibition on 1st & 2nd May and at the 7mm Narrow Gauge Convention on 8th May with the first batch only for sale over the counter at these shows. We are now taking mail order orders for models from the second batch which will be available late June/early July [* batches explained below] and further batches to follow on. There are a lot more pictures of the models on the "more pictures" link below which will show you the evolution of the kit and the pilot models. | * Batches Explained.
These kits will be produced in batches of 20 or so
and at best we can do a batch every six to eight weeks. This is because
a batch has an outlay of more the £2k to buy all the parts in so we need
to have sold the previous lot to finance the next batch plus there is a
lead time on the arrival of the components. At the moment [11/05/10] all the second batch are spoken for and we are taking orders for batch three. The third batch will follow as quickly as possible after the second after which the frequency will be determined by demand. It is our eventual aim to have kits `in stock' but can see it may be the end of the year before we achieve this. |
