Photo's of the pilot model

EDM Models are pleased to be able to announce this 7mm scale Narrow Gauge locomotive kit.

The locomotive is a Bagnall 0-4-2 as supplied to the Rustenberg Platinum Mines of which several survive to this day. The kit is based on details taken from the preserved example Jack shown in the heading photograph.

Two of these engines exist today on the Welsh Highland Railway in North Wales

  • Bagnall wks no 3023 Moel Tryfan [Un-restored and possibly sold on]
  • Bagnall wks No 3050, Gelert. [Operational]

The Model

I have just a few of the first run left in two versions as detailed below.

Later runs will be entirely EDM Models UK productions with no involvement from Inscale Models and will feature further upgrades.

Ordering

Just a few left - see below

Completely Sold Out Now
This kit is considerably altered from the kit received originally from South Africa with many alterations to make it more comprehensive and easier to build. The kit includes wheels, gears and motor. It features sprung suspension and includes both a flat brass version of the boiler which the builder may roll or a resin cast one that isready for use.

First Run Info

The first run of this model is completely sold out.

Second Run Info

Work is progressing slowly on a second release which will in effect be a new kit entirely produced in the UK to remove all the bad design and poor quality the first run inherited from its south african origins. This will be an entirely EDM Models production.

There is no timescale for its release. With the first batch sold its likely that demand will be low for awhile so out other projects will come first
