Backwoods Loco & Repair Shed

These Limited Edition kits are Hydrocal plaster castings carved by renowned rockman Roger Malinowski. We added some laser cut parts to these funky looking loco sheds and came up with a couple of kits that are really neat! They are easy to build and make a great addition to your backwoods railroad.

This kit was produced as a limited edition of 200 kits in the USA from Banta. We have managed to persuade them to do us a small limited re-run available only from EDM Models. In 2005 ten kits were produced and all sold quickly. The 2006 batch has also sold out.

The footprint is 8" x 7"

C&S Baker Water Tank in O Scale

A precision laser cut kit of the water tank at Baker on the Boreas Pass Line. The tank was originally located at the west end of Alpine Tunnel and when operations through the tunnel ceased, the tank was moved to the Boreas Pass line. The kit includes templates for building the support structure and for building the spout mechanism. The kit tank consists of a one piece wood wrapper and centre core, white metal hardware from our own patterns, peel and stic tank bands, strip wood for the supports, and laser cut frost box and "X" bracing. True to prototype we even cut the notches in the cross beams for the tank timbers and legs.

The footprint for the tank is 5" x 5"

Now taking reservations for another run to be run possibly in late 2008.
