Bachmann have produced a superb two truck T boiler Shay. It is mostly die cast metal with plastic detail parts. It has a highly geared motor which drives into the back of the finely modelled steam engine and then drives down to the trucks through the prototypical drive shaft and bevel gears.

It is available lettered for a variety of mining or lumber operations and painted but unlettered. There are three cab styles and two chimneys. Each loco is supplied with Oil, Coal and Wood fuel loads plus other small detail parts. The loco has a DCC socket ready for the decoder and is partly prepared for fitting with sound having speaker holes in the baseplate.
