EDM models is run by Paul Martin
and is based in York, England. Port Wynnstay models is run by Phil Traxson
and is based in Derby, England
We have been friends for
many years and share our interest in both modelling and real railways. We
are both seriously into narrow gauge models and tend to concentrate on 0
scale narrow gauge although Port Wynnstay are producing some of the
more obscure standard gauge wagons seen here in the UK
|
We
are both serious modellers that have lapsed into being manufacturers to
satisfy our own needs. Phil's models tend to be UK prototypes, both narrow
and standard gauge, whilst Paul tend to North American narrow gauge in both
UK 0 scale (7mm/foot) and US 0 scale (1/4"/foot).
Away from the models we
are both involved with the Festiniog Railway. Phil is a fireman and Paul is
a driver. Both are heavily involved with the repair and restoration of two
of the railways locomotives, Merddin Emrys and Blanche - follow the links to
these sites on these links.

EDM models is not my
full time job. By day I work in the rail industry and occasionally I have to
be away from home which delays EDM activities. We process orders as fat as
we can and then ship them as soon as possible. If you want next day service
then you EDM Models is not the place for you.

27/06/03 Just done a weekends driving at the FR on Merddin for two
days. I was pleasantly surprised to find two photos tucked into my
timesheet. These were taken at this years Interactive Weekend at the
beginning of May. The first shows me and my fireman, Alex Ayres,
standing by Blanche at the water tower in Porthmadog and the second
shows me hanging in the whistle somewhere between TyB and Rhiw Goch with
a down train. |
Me
driving Blanche again at TyB.This was the interactive weekend 2007 and i was about to take Blanche
into the sidings once Taliesin had pulled his train in.
We spent most of the afternoon in there as the signalling went tits
up locking us in until the S&T collected their call out fee |
